Location: Greenwich Printmakers, London
Ann has brought spring from outside to inside with her featured artist show, exhibiting a mix of her London landmark linocuts printed over A-Z maps with more woodland inspired works. Ann says:
My prints are inspired by a fascination with the textures and patterns found in both the natural and man-made landscape around us, as well as a sense of mystery about where things may lead and where they may have originated. This is my latest reduction Linocut , ‘A Woodland Song’, inspired by a walk in Devon. The plate has been cut away for each colour, printed, cut away for the next colour until the final darkest colour. I use a blend roll whereby two or three colours are blended on the roller before transferring to the plate and printing.
