Next we will be making monoprints, using a gelatine plate with natural and found stencils and textures, you will also create your own stencils to add additional layers and complete your compositions. The final topic is screen printing, with the option to explore large and small screens, as well as thermofax. In the final week you will have the opportunity to revisit and develop any of the previous weeks techniques. You might choose to explore a new theme during this time or to combine techniques to make a final composition. You will leave with … multiple prints on paper using each technique, plus a lino and drypoint plate that you can continue to make prints with after the class. Upon completion of the course there will be an in depth manual emailed out to you containing instructions, details of materials and equipment. This course is ideal for those who want to explore and develop new creative techniques. Due to the small group size, help and advice is always at hand meaning that your learning is fully supported throughout the course.
